We are professional artists who work collaboratively to create, perform and share artistic works that entertain, inspire, educate and inform. We use fairy tales, folk stories, global myths and cultural legends as the inspiration, the foundation, for the development of our work. We create films, installations, performances and exhibitions which engage with and raise awareness of issues faced by communities across the UK and beyond. Storymine is also an Arts Award Centre and our Directors are both Arts Award Advisors. We are committed to developing opportunities for communities to engage with the arts.
Storymine's professional artists have decades of experience working with communities and organisations on a range of arts projects. Partnerships we have developed include the Red Cross, Christian Aid, Medical Teams International, Partners Relief and Development, Internuncio, the Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies and Health and Nutritional Development Services. These projects were funded through a number of streams, including the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association, the British Council, the Arts Council, the Film Council and numerous trusts and foundations. Our team also have extensive experience working with arts organisations in the UK and beyond, including the MAC Birmingham, Triskel Art Gallery Cork, the Sanskriti Foundation Delhi, Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Battersea Arts Centre and the ICA London and Chiang Mai University, Thailand.
